View the Planning and Zoning Dashboard
The City of Richmond hears Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) and Advisory Plan Commission (PC) cases on a monthly basis. Properties adjacent to the subject properties are notified by mail of the potential changes at the property and are invited to voice support or opposition per case.
Users may browse the Cases in Progress list to learn more about each case. Scrolling and clicking in that list will pan the map to the subject property in question, and clicking on a parcel will reveal more information regarding the case.
Users may turn on the map Legend, and browse Land Use and Zoning layers overlaid onto the map using the blue icons in the top right of the map. Cases shown on the map are filtered by default to only be displayed if their meeting date falls in the future; past cases and their outcomes can be browsed by changing the filters in the "Browse Cases" tool in the top right of the interface.
This web experience is optimized for both mobile and desktop users. The mobile version contains fewer indicators with statistics on the bottom and lacks a link to the permits and inspections webpage.
