In partnership with Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute, the City of Richmond is building on the Greenhouse Gas Inventory completed in 2019 to create a Climate Action Plan.
This plan will serve as a road map for city residents, businesses and government agencies to reduce carbon emissions and prepare for future impacts of climate change. The plan will lay out the various actions and activities that Richmond can take to adapt to changing weather patterns and build a community that is more resilient to the impacts of climate change.
Citizen input collected through focus groups and surveys will help guide the development of our city’s Climate Action Plan. This survey has been designed to gather critical information and feedback from citizens, and collect ideas for future engagement strategies. The survey should take about 5-10 minutes. Additional surveys and meetings to collect input on sustainability initiatives will be forthcoming.
