The Reservoir
This 405-acre facility contains a 177-acre stream and spring fed lake. Owned by the Indiana-American Water Company, the Reservoir providers 60% of the water supply to the City of Richmond. The City of Richmond Parks and Recreation Department manages the recreational facilities and maintains the park grounds.

Dock Slip Rentals
Dock slips are rented annually from April 15th through October 15th (weather permitting).

Dog Park
Richmond's only off-leash dog park, Hill's Bark Park is located at Middlefork Reservoir.Ddog owners can take their dogs to run free and socialize with others. Furry friends of all shapes and sizes are welcome, although there are some rules to follow. Learn more about the rules here.
Boat Rentals
Thanks to a sponsorship from Reid Health Community Benefit, we have paddle boats, row boats, canoes and kayaks available for rent at the reservoir. Boat rentals on Saturday and Sunday only as weather Permits
Boat rentals are available when the Service Center is open. Paddles and personal flotation devices (PFDs) are included in all rentals.
Current Rental Rates
- Paddle boats: $10 for first hour, $5 for each additional hour
- Row boats: $10 for first hour, $5 for each additional hour
- Canoe: $6 for first hour, $3 for each additional hour
- Kayak: $8 for first hour, $4 for each additional hour
- $1 improvement fee with each rental
