Changes to Trash and Recycling Pickup Announced
Monday, 05 March 2012

Richmond Sanitary District continues to look for new ways to provide excellent services to our customers and good working conditions for our Richmond Sanitary District employees.  We are adjusting trash routes and changing the day of pickup for some residents.  Routes will be reduced from 30 to between 20 and 24 routes.  To do a generalization of the routes we will be picking up from Tuesday through Friday - Tuesdays generally on the city's east side, Wednesdays on the north side, Thursdays in the city's south and center districts and Friday on the west side.  All residents should have received a letter of their pickup day, if they have not received a letter yet they can call 765-983-7450 for additional help.

This new equipment is more efficient and may result in a change in timing of your collection.  Please have your trash out by 6:00 A.M. the morning of your pick up day to ensure a timely pick up.  Remember all rosie rollers must be removed from the collection site within twelve (12) hours after the collection service has been performed.

Recycling pickup has changed to the 2nd & 4th week of each month on the day of regular trash pickup.

The previous items are in .pdf format.  Download the free Adobe Reader.
