You are cordially invited to join the pool staff for a safe and enjoyable summer at the Cordell Municipal Pool, located at 9 S.W. 13th Street. The Cordell Pool is a hub of activity during the summer months. Every member of your family will enjoy the pool and its assets, including a Splash Pool for the little family members, a 1-meter diving board, a 151 foot water slide, and a 2-foot depth section of the main pool for relaxing and sunbathing. In addition, lounge chairs are spread throughout the deck so parents can easily supervise their children wherever they choose to play. Our concession stand is offers a variety of snacks and drink items.

Private Pool Rentals

 

The Cordell Pool is available for private rentals Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from 7:30 – 9:30 pm. The pool provides the perfect atmosphere for a summer party! Facility supervision and lifeguards will be provided with each rental. Call the Administration Office at 983-7275 or Cordell Pool at 983-7292 for further information. Reservations for summer pool rentals are being taken at this time.

FITNESS PROGRAMS

 

Adult Lap Swim

The pool will be open from 6 - 7 a.m. Monday - Friday for adults to swim laps only. In addition to being a healthy exercise, it is also a great way to start the day. Only those 18 years and older can participate. Pre-registration is required one week in advance.

Learn to Swim Program

 

The Learn to Swim Program follows the American Red Cross standards and offers people of all ages an opportunity to learn basic swimming skills in an enjoyable environment. Each class is limited in size to allow as much one-on-one instruction as possible. Participants must possess minimum requirements of each class to assure that the individual is in the correct class for their skill level. Classes will be taught by qualified Instructors, and those who successfully reach the goals for each level will receive an American Red Cross Swimming Card. Registration information is available at the Glen Miller Park Administration Office (983-PARK) or at the Cordell Municipal Pool (983-7292) during operational hours for all Learn to Swim Classes.

Scuba Diving

PADI Certification Classes

 

We are teaming up with THREE CHICKS DIVING LLC to offer Scuba Diving Classes to be held at the Cordell Municipal Pool. Taught by qualified instructors, classroom sessions will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings and Pool Classes on Saturday and Sunday Mornings.
