| Mayor's Welcome |

The City of Richmond is a wonderful place to live, work, play and raise a family. Our quality of life is the envy of many Indiana communities. Good schools, quality housing stock, a commitment to helping our neighbors and the continued growth and expansion of good-paying jobs combine to make Richmond the center of East Central Indiana. I welcome you to our community and encourage you to visit our churches, parks, museums, libraries and historical buildings. Richmond offers the Starr Historic District, Richmond Civic Theater, Richmond Art Museum, Richmond Symphony, Earlham College, Ivy Tech State College, Indiana University East campus and the new Reid Hospital Medical campus. You may enjoy visiting the Veterans Memorial Park, Middlefork Reservoir and/or any one of our many city parks, municipal golf courses, or a walk on the Cardinal Greenway Trail and through Whitewater Valley Gorge during your stay in Richmond. Sharing our heritage and hospitality with our guests is exciting and always a wonderful opportunity to present our community’s rich historic legacy and to express the rapid growth occurring in the present. If you need information on a specific area or point of interest, please do not hesitate to contact my office. Sincerely, Mayor Sally Hutton |
