Licensing

General Contractors and/or Owner Occupants do not have to be licensed in the City of Richmond

However, they must know and adhere to all building codes and zoning regulations.

Electrical Contractors	Heating & A/C Contractors
Must be licensed in the City of Richmond Exception: Owner Occupant Not Required to be Licensed To test for Contractors License To apply for License with City of Richmond (FORM)
Plumbing Contractors must be licensed in the State of Indiana

All Contractors and/or Owner Occupants are responsible to obtain applicable permits prior to beginning work.
